We have been open for a month and what has happened, it has rained ever since. We have been able to see guests which has been wonderful and we thank them for their visit, but the weather is just so annoying, role on the sunshine. We have noticed that one of the White Tailed Eagles released on the Isle Of White has also been staying not far from us at all, we wish her a safe journey onwards to where ever she explores.
Our first show for the season shall be on the Easter Saturday at Welsh Waters Llandegfedd visitor center, so please come and see the birds on display . We shall also be saying hello to all our good friends at CADW castles during the period of 2023, all the dates can be found on the CADW website under events. During the summer months we are at the sea side visiting the Angle-sea Aquarium where there will be a weekends conservation event on the 29th and 30th of July. There will be a number of organisations visiting on the weekend giving talks and showcasing the future for Welsh environment. If you cant make those dates please get along to the venue and see the wealth of wildlife from the UK seas, they are also rehabilitating the world most endangered turtle and their work is vital to UK conservation.
I am really happy to say our Gymnogene, Twizzle is already flying very confidentially. This is a trully spectacular bird to spend time with and watch fly, she is without a doubt one of the most interesting animals I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I am sure that the guests who have visited this year already have been inspired by watching her behaviour. So if you are visiting the Brecon Beacons and want one of the best outdoor experiences the UK has to offer then why not pay us a visit and meet the team.
We look forward to your visit.
Do not hesitage to drop Lewis a message.. Lewis is happy to talk to you.
Wings Of Wales was established in 2015 by conservation photographer and bird of prey handler Lewis Phillips.
