Wings Of Wales Wins Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award 2024
WOW Recognized as a Traveler-Favorite Outdoor Conservation Education Experience
Wings Of Wales, Penderyn, Brecon Beacons, is pleased to announce today that it has been recognized in Tripadivsor’s Travelers’ Choice® Awards for 2024. The award honors businesses that consistently earn great reviews, placing them among the top 10% of listings around the world on Tripadvisor.
As the world’s largest travel guidance platform, Tripadvisor has unparalleled authority with travelers and diners. This award is based on genuine feedback from anyone in the community who has visited and left an authentic, first-hand review on Tripadvisor over a 12-month period, making it a valuable and trustworthy designation of great places to visit.
We have been operating since 2016 and have worked very hard to provide what we feel is one of the best honest educational experiences in the UK. Over the past 3 years we have won a number of awards, now we have been chosen as one of the top 10% as an activity provider in the world which is a real honour and testament to the reasons we started the business, mainly to promote the conservation of vultures and the return of the White Tailed Eagle to Wales.
Obviously we could not have achieved this without all our visitors from around the world, thank you to all of you who have come to meet us and enjoyed your visit.
I would also like to thank the Ty Newyedd Country Hotel, without them the business would not be able to provide a comfortable place to meet our clients and provide accommodation, food and refreshments.
I would also like to thank all of my colleagues in the UK and abroad who have allowed me to visit and work in their areas of conservation. It is these people who keep conservation alive, their lifelong work dedicated to secure the future of wildlife, fauna and ecosystems. These organisations include Vulpro and the VCF who’s work in the conservation of Vultures has laid the foundations of much of my journalism. I would also like to thank those who have assisted me in the investigative journalism regards to the illegal wildlife trade of raptors within the UK, in many ways this has helped us to educate the general public on the reality of wildlife crime in Britain.
We would like to thank all the schools who have booked us for visits, giving children the opportunity to have a glimpse into the life of raptors. I would also like to thank CADW and Welsh Water along with our other regular country fairs we visit that give us a platform to educate the public with the demonstrations we provide, a big thank you to them.
